I think this falls under the Wireless category...I'm trying to set up ClieMail on my NR70V. I'm using my T720 and Verizon service for net access. Does Verizon have specific port/server settings that I should be using for my incoming/outgoing mail servers? If so, and you happen to know what they are, please tell me!!
Also, if anyone knows where I can get the Conduit to sync ClieMail with my desktop, that would be helpful too!

Copied from a previous thread, not mine:
OK here is how to set it up. I did this successfully with a Motorola T720 and Clie T615:
1) Get cable from thesupplynet.com.
2) Connect the cable tightly to your phone and your Clie.
3) Turn on Clie. Open Prefs. Go to connections and select "new". In name enter "Verizon" or whatever you want. Select: connect to PC via Cradle / Cable. Select "details". Set speed to 19,200 and flow ctl on. Click OK to exit.
4) Select Network. Under service write Verizon. User name qnc. Password qnc. Connection Verizon. Select Details. Select script. Settings are send: atdt#777, Send CR, Delay 4, End. Click OK to exit.
5)Turn on phone. Hit menu key and QUICKLY and rapidly hit 073887* - this step may take a few times. It will ask for a security code. Enter six zeroes (000000), which will appear as *'s. Go down to data rates and select 14.4/14.4.
6) Under system prefs, network, hit "connect" and you should be good to go.
The Clie Mail conduit is on the CD that came with the Sony.

I'm sorry, perhaps I should have been a bit more clear. I already have net access from my Clie through Verizon, using the above setup. My problem is getting ClieMail to function properly. I have the same port and server settings that I'm using in Outlook, but on my Clie, when I do a send/receive in ClieMail, it tells me that the connection failed, and to check my port and server settings. So really my question is, does Verizon have specific port and server settings for accessing POP3 mail accounts through their service?

I hate to bump my own thread, but I'd really like to know if anyone's gotten ClieMail to send/receive mail while using Verizon's service...

As soon as I get the cable I'll get back to you, but that might be some time.

I've actually spoken with Verizon, and I've gotten some questions answered. First of all, I've gotten it to RECEIVE mail...now to get it to SEND...the problem was, I was using my RoadRunner's SMTP server for my outgoing server...Apparently, I can't use RR's smtp with Verizon's service. So they gave me a couple links where I could sign up for free access to SMTP servers that DO work with Verizon. One was Hotpop.com, I forget the others. So I'm gonna try using HotPop's smtp as my outgoing server and see if I'm able to send mail....I'll let you know as soon as I get time to test it!
