Hello,

I just noticed, that leaving my TH55 clié on the handwriten notes app of CO does make it preserve the battery for a longer time. Does someone else notice this?

I'm running Appshelf and maybe it takes some extra power consumption whilst the unit is off, but not sure of this. I know the battery meter varies easily depending on what's the clie doing at that moment (e.g. with wifi on, it drops down and goes up suddenly when wifi goes off), but it's a fact that leaving it on the CO's Notes tag during the night, makes it show a higher battery charge percentage the following morning (around 5%~10% more) than leaving it with Appshelf.

I noticed the same thing, and I also have appshelf. But I had noticed that even before using appshelf so I dont think it is an appshelf issue. But I dont think it does that only in FreeNotes I've noticed that leaving in any of CO tabs and not only the whole night but just switching to one of them and opening the battery status I see the indicator going up.

Strange...

Maybe FreeNotes is one of the apps that has been 'underclocked'?

I've noticed AudioPlayer is too - When you load it up it's normal, but as soon as you start playing an MP3 the responsiveness of the app goes right out the window, as if it's been down-clocked to 8MHz!

I think this might be the case because I've noticed I can eek out slightly more MP3 playing time by leaving AudioPlayer loaded rather than switching back to the main launcher.

It's difficult to know wether this battery extra saving is caused by underclocking the cpu or by not using extra-cycles of it whilst leaving the unit off. We can try to use the underclocker Cliepet did and leave the unit on Appshelf or any other non-underclocked app during the night... also, it'd be great to have an apply to show the current CPU speed on the status bar at all times - would love it!
