I just purchased a NX70, which will be replacing my N760. Obviously I want to transfer pretty much everything from my old clie to the new, except for some of the things that I think will crash the new one (PiDirect, JackFlash, etc). What is the safest or easiest way?

Can I just install the new desktop, and copy my old user/backup directories in there, and hotsync? Should I do a full unistall of the existing first?

Thanks!

John.

Nevermind...I think I found my answer from a post that I missed earlier while searching. Someone has already posted a very nice, comprehensive guide on upgrading. Missed it the first look through :(

have done a quick search for a post on upgrading from 760 to nx70 but did not get any search results. do u recall where you read that post of which you spoke that had a good read on upgrading from the 760 to the nx70? i just got a open box nx70v and currently have a n760c so I would like to read it.

I went from a N760c to an NX70v. It was relatively painless but I could still write pages about it. do you have any specific questions?

Please see this thread: http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6524

It was originally written for an upgrade from the NR70 to the NX70. Everything still applies though. There are a few other threads covering a similar topic, but I don't think you'll need it.
