I've recently upgraded from Palm IIIc to NR70V. I use the latter for most things but keep the IIIc for e-books and games. My problem is, everytime I switch to Clie after having used IIIc, the screen seems dark (although the backlight is full on) and the colors washed out. I know Clie is hires and everything, still, I seem to enjoy the other screen much more (except under direct sunlight, of course)
Does anyone else out there has the same problem or should I go and have my eyesight and/or my Clie checked??
Matt - That's what I was afraid of :(
Still, I'd like to wait a bit more to see if there's any feedback from fellow IIIc users before I hit the road for a check-up!
By the way, I've also compared the Clie with a number of different models of iPaq: I like the Clie screen better, but I still think IIIc is better in terms of colour and brightness. Maybe this has something to do with the bluish tint of the background, or it's because I've used IIIc for so long that I cannot seem to adjust to anything else...

I migrated from the IIIc to the NR70V (now I have and NX70V). My wife still uses the IIIc.
I agree that the IIIc is "brighter", but to me this does not mean "better" - except when I use it as a flashlight, which I occassionally do.
If I were you, I'd compare my NR70 to other identical devices if possible, maybe at a local Staples, Best Buy or Circuit City. Certainly your colors shouldn't look dull or "washed out" as you describe.
As I said, my IIIc is brighter, but compared to my NR/NX models, the IIIc looks garish.
Hope tis helps. Good luck.

All I know is, is that it's almost impossible to use the camera in any sort of sunlight
