new clie, new username?

I just traded in my nz for a new nz. I've got three hours before I need an answer (still charging). ;)
So, my questions:
1. Do I need to uninstall the palm desktop and reinstall with the new cd?
2. Do I need a new username?
3. Can I move apps that I saved to the memory stick from the old nz on to my new nz?
4. Am I missing any questions that will make my machine go haywire when I do whatever it is that I am doing?
5. Was it worth it????
6. What am I doing??????

Every unit I exchanged I made a new #1&#2. Although from what I've been told I didn't have to. I did it in case what I got was a new batch andSony updated some of the core files. Which I doubt but you never know.

I exchanged my nz because part of the screen was responding poorly to the stylus' touch, enough so that it made a difference in the level of performance. Haven't tried the new one, yet.
I hope I don't have battery problems on this one; my old one worked pretty well. I don't need to trade one set of problems for another!!

So, I should uninstall the palm desktop, huh? s***t. A new level of work that god didn't intend for me to do.......

I say to keep the username, it has never caused me any problems and if you have a lot of registered software, you won't need to contact the companies about a username change.
