I just received my Holux GR-230 BTooth GPS receiver and set up my NX80 MSBT card. I only get connectivity for about 30 seconds and then the NX pops up the "searching for BTooth" window. Has anyone seen or heard of this happening?
The NX MSBT will not find the Holux on its own scan and I only connect using Mapopolis or GPSPilot. It finds and connects to the MSBT, but then after 30 seconds, starts searching again.
I'm trying to figure out if its the MSBT or a bad Holux....
I do have the 2.1a version of the MSBT drivers...
HELP!!!!

I don't have a BT adapter, but on in the settings for my Wi-Fi adapter there is a check-box for a power-savings mode. Is there such a thing in the set-up for the MSBT adapter? Sounds like the card is powering down because it's not sensing any input activity. Just a thought. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply... I found the problem. Didn't read the fine print in the Holux manual.
This thing was communicating with BTooth but it was in discovery mode and not "trusted" mode. Im my haste, I didn't see the "passcode" in the manual so I could not get the "trusted" mode to work. DOH!
Now all is good and this thing is cool......

Holux is not readily known here in the US but if you look on EBay there are a couple of guys selling them for around $130.
This recvr is supposed to have better abilities than some of the Big guys for about 1/2 the price...
This recvr is SMALL!!! about the size of a very small flip phone... And no wires!!!!!
I have a Garmin GPSIII+ that I'm going to be running this against...
We'll see how it does.....
And how cool is it to have a HUGE COLOR NX80 screen to use as a GPS!!!
I will report back soon...
