Hot Sink USB Cable Dosent Charge?

I bought a third party Hot Sink USB Cable which is not designed for NZ-90, and it dosent charge the PDA. I assume that despite the interface is fitting snugly to the earlier adapters, ther wirings are moved around to un-enable any charging options? an any one throw some light on this issue?

Are you plugging into a powered USB port? I thought the connector was the same as the NX series?

are you sure the USB cable is even designed to charge? I bought a 3rd party usb hotsync cable for my old m505 and later found out (after reading the instructions) it wasn't designed to charge at all- just hotsync!
