I originally posted this in the a.m., but for some reason it got deleted without my getting a reason why. I'm hoping that somebody that owns an NZ can answer my question.

Anybody know of a good photography app I can buy to catalog all my equipment? I tried the usual places, palmgear and handango, and the only one that they have is not os5 compat and it's mono.

I got a bunch of equipment (plus a new Minolta Dimage 7i) and I want to inventory my stuff.

I could buy a database app if I can't find anything, but most of what I've seen goes for around 30 bucks or so. Currently I'd only use something like that for my equipment database, so I'd prefer to buy something already out there rather than going this route.

thanks - dm

McInventory
List
HanDBase

None of the above are specific for photography, but McInventory is the best.

Do like the rest of us, leave your bodies in the bags, and make a word document with your bodies, lenses, and other stuff. I have a enventory with serial numbers for insurance. But have the gear in task specific bags. works great. Now if I could just get the new Clie OZ with the 6 megapixel SLR attachment. (smile)

Bo - believe me, I've got bunches of bags. You DON'T wanna know how many. Worse still, I just inherited all of my father's gear when he died. About 50 years worth of photo equip.

Littlesix,

LOL. I know the feeling, old camera stuff is trickling me way. have a couple of funny oddball sheet film camera, and am getting two ROBOT cameras, which my grandfather used on Greenland long time ago.

So far I have been shooing entirely digital for about 6 years, and would LOVE it it was possible to review my capture on the NZ by popping a CF card into it... We gotta get a CF driver. (smile) It would prevent me from lugging a laptop with me in the camera bag. (though I wonder if the NZ can handle 5 megapix files.. oh well)

From what I gather on a few threads here a company is getting close to beta testing for the CF drivers.

As to handling a 5 MP image, in theory I would think it would. AcidImage is letting me view 2MP now. I'm sure somebody around here would know better than me.

Back to my original post (whoops) this app (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=B50B68E1-3275-4757-9F23061EDB869E6F&prodID=9813) would do exactly what I want it to, but no OS5 support.

the only thing i can think of is splashid

i know it is mainly used for passwords, but the great thing about it, you can customize every single category and field to what you need

I use splashid for not only passwords, but lists and inventories of all my games, and books

For what it is worth, my NZ has no problem displaying my 5mp pictures.  Clieviewer takes awhile to thumbnail them all, but acidimage is much quicker.

Use SmartList ToGo 2.6... it's awesome and completely customizable!

Bo, have you used QTVR files from your site in your Clie? Apparently, Kinoma QTVR does it. The QTVR Kinoma samples for Clie are impressive.
