Hi, I just bought SJ33 2 days ago to replace my SJ30. It's AWESOME, but I have one question/concern. SJ33 was supposed to have a great battery life, but when I used it today (fully charged), played few short Kinoma movies and played some graphic/sound intensive games (Astraware GTS Racing) the battery drain was significant. When I played GTS racing after about 5 minutes of playing the battery went from 70% to 60%! Then after the game it gradually jumped to 65%. Same with mp3 files, the battery counter goues down every few minutes? Is it normal? Or may there be some battery problem? How is your battery life? It's 7:30pm and I'm listening to MP3s with screen off and the battery is at 58%. What do you think? Thanks for your help guys. I hope everything is OK with my SJ33, I LOVE IT!!!!

You might want to let the battery break in first for a few days, I've heard Lion batteries need this. Just make sure you top it off as often and much as possible.

check your screen brightness. i'm running my sj33 at about 30% and am not having yor problem. I also turned off the beam function.

Good luck

Yes, make sure you turn off the beam and keep your brightness down to 30-40% (unless you are showing off the awsome color screen features to your friends).

Also make sure your charge light goes out at the end of the charge. You can unplug the handheld early and it will say 100%, but in reality it is not.

By the time your battery goes down to 50 or 60%, it really has less than that left. The Palm OS battery meter isn't very 'smart', it goes by voltage which is not a great indicator.

Make sure you charge it overnight once to top it off, then the battery life should be good. I can use it for relatively long and it will still be at 100%.
