i just got a T615c refurbished.
im guessing everything was restored because there are no scratches and the screen is perfect. it looks comepletly new.
i dont know if they replcaed the battery or not but it has been running very short.

i charged the unit over night while i was sleeping (6hours) and the next day it only lasted about 7 hours. is it normal for a new battery to do this?

i remeber when i first got my Sony minidisc player a new battery for it would take about a week to get the battery life up to par (about 64 hours playing time).

so is my battery dead or just needs to be "broken in"
does sony replace batteries when refurbishing?

thanks for your time and help

If you had it on for 7 hours with the screen on then it is par with sony's claim of 14 day battery life, based on 1/2 hour use per day, with backlight set to half. If it wasn't on that whole time I would say someting is wrong. I don't know if refurbished products have a new battery, I'm thinking that they don't replace the battery. Just my 2 cents!

i had the backlight turned to the lowest, cuz thats bright enough for me.
and i used it about 30 minutes at a time every hour so half of the 7.

but i noticed today was much better. yesterday the battery was at 10% when i got home and today at the same time its at 50%.
im hoping this continues.

One trick that I tried on my 615 was to turn off beam receive. If someone needs to beam something to me, I just turn it back on. One caveat though, it seems that every time I hot sync, beam receive gets turned back on.

Turning beam receive off has made a bit of difference for me.
