Ok I know that if you format a White stick in a digital camera the copyright material get erased. Now since the NX has a camera in it if I format the white stick will the copyright protection be erased? Or is it okay to format it? I have a PEG-S360 and I have formated it in there with no problem before. But I'm not to sure on the NX. If any one can shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Thanks -MD
I've never heard of a "format" where it doesn't erase everything.

From what sony told me the white stick can be formatted in and peripheral except the digital camera since all the copyright protection would be erased. But I don't know about the NX70. I got that answer from them before the NR and NX were released.

I agree with nXt! I have formatted in my camera and my clie. Formatting in a PC doesn't work as well or at all. Formatting in a camera may add additonal stuff, but that's easily deleted.

You have formatted a white memory stick in a digital camera and you can still add music to the white stick with no problem?

YES!
I always use the MP3 format for my tunes and I can put it on either the white or purple sticks.
With the exception of being able to use the ATRAC3 proprietary audio format(which very few use), it functions the same as the purple memory sticks.
In every other respect the white Magic Gate stick works the same. I have had to use my camera to format when my clie was locked up and I couldn't use it
