I use Babck up buddy. I defaults when it gets to the "<<" for avant go in the backup directory of the MS. I tried using McFile and Filez.....McFile does not see it and Filez will not delete it.
Help!

When BackupBuddy is running, it stops when the file <<vantgo is run in to. I contacted BUB support and they said need to delete any file with the symbol "<" . How do I do that?

I'm wondering if this is a shortcut file you created in, let's say LauncherX?
If so, BackUpBuddy stops when it "sees" these characters. The workaround is to rename the file and replace the << this an _ (underscore), e.g., _vantgo. You'll still be able to use this as a shortcut and now BackUpBuddy will recognize the file name for proper back up.
If this is not the case...then hmmmmm!

I like to use the freebie app called FileZ (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=9992) for this as it may not be as intuitive using the LauncherX file manager.
Launch FileZ and list the files in RAM. The files beginning with << will usually be listed first using the default sort order. Select the file to be renamed and tap on Details. In the General tab, highlight the << portion of the filename and change it to an _ (underscore). Tap Save and that's it. You should then see _vantgo in the list of files.
