DateBk5 Abbreviated Alarms

I use DateBk5 on my NR70V.

About half the time, my alarms sound for about 1/2 a second and stop. I can't figure find a pattern. Anyone know what's happening?

Did you install the NR patch from the Sony Site? If so, there is one file in that update you should delete. I can't remember which one and I am using an NX now but one of our moderators, RL Dunn can surely help.

The culprit file is called HoldExtn. Do a warm reset (just like a soft reset, but hold the up button down from the time you hit the reset button until you see the Palm OS logo), then enter a file manager, delete the HoldExtn file, and perform a soft reset. The problem should go away after that.
