I know I have seen a thread like this before, but I could not find it.
I am trialing SmartList to go and I love it - except it is 160x160. I would buy it right now if it was 320x320.
Are there any other products out there as flexible as this one that are HiRes?
I looked at Mobi-System's offering and it did not look as flexible as the SmartList tool - it looked rather limited in the custom form design.
Thanks for the help...

I'm not sure how comparable it is for your needs, but I really like Bonsai (http://www.natara.com/Bonsai/index.cfm), and it comes with a great desktop version the syncs flawlessly.
Hope this helps.

Bonsai is nice, but I am looking for something to sync with Microsoft Access on my desktop.

HanDBase 3.0 should fit the bill. Now comes with a forms editor to make data entry prettier and easier.
ODBC and Access drivers available, too.

It does not appear to be HiRes. I need HiRes, but it looks good otherwise...

I'd love to see HiRes on Smartllist/ThinkDB too. I can only hope that since DataViz has HiRes on the Docs to Go products, it will move to implement them on Smartlist. However, Dataviz isn't talking about its plans in the SmartListtoGo Yahoo group. . .
If you haven't checked that group, you might, in case you see bug reports that would affect your use. . .

There are hires options in HanDBase 3.0. In your database list view, select options > preferences. In the "other" tab, you can select small for HiRes font. This will display a small hires font in your database list.
Also, the forms appear with the nice smooth buttons as seen on sony hires.

Try JFile. JFile support HiRes I think.

I picked up Think Db for $4.00 on a discount rack, the previous version. Immeadiately upgraded to the current version, then a month later it was sold to Dataviz and shortly thereafter I upgraded to the rebranded smartlist. :)
For $4, I can wait for high res. :)

I use HanDBase 3.0 on my T415 and it works well and looks good too. As far as hires support, i'm not sure, but check out DDHsoftware.com (the makers of HandBase) for any info.

I make several apps on my T615 "hi res" by using Font Hack 123 and Lubak's fonts, SansSerif 18 and Symbols 16. Configuring FontHack inside X-Master is a bit confusing but WORTH it. Seems like at least twice as much data is visible on the screen! In FH123, I don't select "all" apps -- just the ones that need or benefit from it. I have done it for Smart List and Bonsai, among others. Thanks, Lubak!

I think you must try DB (aka pilot-db) It's Hi-Res, it can handle JFile and MobileDB databases, best of all it's Free (Free as in freedom and free as in free beer). It cannot work with Access directly but there are utilities that you can extract the data as csv and import to Access

Does anyone know if HanDBase is OS 5.0 friendly?

Yes. HanDBase is OS5 compatible.
