TH55 or TG50

I currently have a SJ20 and would like to upgrade. Should I get the TH55 or TG50? I can get the TG50 refurbished with all original accessories for 200 US dollars. I can get a new TH55 for 348 US dollars. I have no bluetooth adapter or wireless router, but I have DSL. In town there is the public library and a Starbucks that have free wireless internet. I am a highschool student. I have no bluetooth devices. Need any more information?

Do you need a keyboard? and Long iR range? those two plus the 200MHZ will be the things that don't come with the TH55, but the TH55 will come with a 320x480 screen and a LOT of other things, like taking pictures, videos (with Movie Recorder) and tapying your voice to make alarms with it if you wish. If you really want to compare you have to get their features from Sony and see them thru your needs.

The tg-50 has a very nice hr screen, however, the th-55 has a nicer widescreen one. The bluetooth on the tg-50 does not compare to the functionality of wifi on the th-55. Bluetooth seems like a good idea because you can connect to the internet using a cell phone, however there are only a handfull of cell phones that have bluetooth. On the contrary wifi connections are everywhere and give a much faster connection speed. I own both of these handhelds and think it is definitely worth it to go for the th-55.

Go with the TH55. It's a much nicer device. More memory, better screen, built-in camera.

The one compelling reason to choose the TG50 is the keyboard. If you're a keyboard sort of person, then clearly the TG50 is the one for you. Otherwise, go with the TH55.

Having had a T665C (320x320), all I can say is once you are spoiled by hi-res+ (320x480), you'll never, ever, never, ever go back! :) TH55 hands down! ;)

I owned a TG50 prior to purchasing my TH55 --- At times I do miss my TG50, however I enjoy my TH55 much more.

If you're a student you'll probably want the TH partly because it has better battery life and if you're doing research at the library you can use the wifi to get additional research, it also has a camera so you can take pictures of other people or of book numbers. It also comes with clie organizer which helps me greatly organize assignments.
