I recently found the parts to my iSun (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/5a68/) portable solar charger...and am happy to say that it works with the Belkin car adapter to charge my TJ37 just a thought for everyone with the battery blues...the light flickers (on the handheld not the car adapter) so I figure it's charging slowly.

The iSun puts out less than 300 mA (probably a full sun, best case scenario) and the Clie AC adapter is rated for 2000 mA. I admit that the Clie adapter is probably oversized. A single iSun is still likely starving the Clie for power.
Neat idea. I have a lot of experience with solar in the instrumentation world. I prefer that my solar devices have internal pulse chargers and intermediary batteries, which iSun doesn't seem to have. Unless the Clie is designed to handle frequent browout conditions, I would be concerned for long term health of my Clie battery. Let us know how it works in the long run.
