View Full Version : Not enough memory to play Flash game!

I have a question...I have created a Flash game (a Tetris game, and I tell you, it's AWESOME). It was originally built at 640x480, but I scaled down the .swf to 420x315 to give me ample space on my NX70V screen. The problem is, when I go to play it, it gets through about 5 frames before the screen jumps and I get a message saying "not enough memory", and then I get a really messed-up looking view of the game as it keeps playing through all scenes. Can enyone let me know what, if anything, I can do? Are there only certain flash files that will work on the Clie Flash player?
Thanks very much in advance

Hey buuuudy,
I'm not sure if you know about the info at this link, but you may find it helpful..
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mobile/articles/sony_clie.html
On a slightly related tangent, I would love to see a driver mod that can allow the PEGA-GC10 to map keystrokes to buttons. This would open a whole new world of flash games to the clie.
Thanks for your efforts,
Sixseven

While I'm posting... Does anyone know how to make the this_land.swf from http://www.jibjab.com/ work on the clie? :D

I'd love to be able to play it on my UX50, but I don't think there's anything we can do on the user side. Maybe if the great guys at JibJab get enough requests, they'll make a portable friendly version available. :)

Export your flash movie to an AVI or MOV file with Macromedia Flash MX2004, then Mpeg with any video editing program, then .mqv with the Sony converter. Et voila!

I really want to do be able to do this but need more info. "This Land" parody is listed as a Shockwave Flash Object. It is 3849 kb's. I have been able to convert other swf file using the "Convert for Clie" icon. Says not able to do this format. Is Flash MX2004 an upgrade from flash player already on windos xp?
Thanks Gdawg
PS: I have a Sony Vio which has a various video editing programs!
