View Full Version : Alarm sounds selfmade
I tried to make some alarm sounds in .wav and converted. Well how can I say they sounded awfully and were too short.
Sony provided some really nice and long sounds.
How do I make these sounds myself?
Is it MIDI? Which programm converts my wave to MIdi then?
thanx

if look at the time code for the sample that you have created you will see it is in red...... this means that it has gone above maximim filesize for a sound file...
.. all is not lost however... all you need to do is lower the sampling rate until the timecode turns black et voila.. the sample is now full length..
Have fun:)
I know how to lower the sampling rate.
But this will cause the file to sound terrible. Yo if it was MIDI it would be very small(remember the old Win95 MIDI-Samples??).
This is because every instrument has its own track and as far as I know- and I don't know it very well!- there are a max. of 8 Tracks at a time allowed.
So this would be the smallest and longest file with a acceptable sound. HELP?
