Can anyone comment on the advantages of one vs. the other. They both appear to have the exact same specs to me.

oh yea, the SJ should cost about 50 more than a 665 if you can still find them. Also, the SJ should have much better battery life

Can anyone compare the battery life between the T665 vs. the SJ33. I'm accustomed to the very good battery life of the T415, so that could be important to me.

i've been using my SJ33 for 3 weeks now, and i have yet to get the battery below 75%. in fact, yesterday i listened to mp3's for an hour while reading, updating my datebook and playing a couple games of bejeweled. the backlight was set at about 45%, and after that hour, believe it or not, the battery still said 100%.

So is the SJ33 (also has a 66 MHz)...
I believe the screen is better in the T-665c... it has a transflective screen, as opposed to the reflective screen of the SJ series... TFT does not stand for transflective, as many people think.. it stands for "thin film transistor"...
Like said above, the aluminum casing (beautiful) and the size seem to be the main advantage.. I've been staring at the specs wondering why the hell Sony would come out with an exact copy of the T-665c in terms of hardware... perhaps they are canceling the T-series all together and the TG series will be it's own thing..
Oh, and in terms of battery life.. i think it's real subjective... my T-665c battery lasts at least a week, and I probably use it about 45 min- 1 hour total each day...
One more thing... The T-665c you can outfit in any case you want.. you're kinda screwed with the SJ33... and if you see it, you might think it's ugly.. it all depends on if you like that type of style of machine...

I do love the look and feel of the T-series. I don't know if I like the thickness of the SJ-series. However, the SJ is shorter, but I think that thin beats height. I want a front pocket PDA.

The sj33 doesn't have an extended IR and is not usable with the remote commander. I bought the sj33 only to return it 3 days later, heres why: It felt wierd to hold, the case was always dirty with fingerprints (I am a clean freak!!), i thought it came with a cradle becasue that was how it was displayed (the t665 cradle works with it though), the plastic felt cheap. I bought the t665 for the remote commander, better looking in my opinion, and the fact that it came with a cradle. The sj33 did have an AMAZING battery life, I listened to music for about 5 hours with the screen off and it was still at 65%.

Like others said, the SJ33 has unbelievable battery life. I mean this thing outperforms the battery my previous handheld, the SJ30. When the SJ33 was announced I thought the flip cover was a distraction. I was wrong. I think the flip cover is a perfect integration in this compact and stylish handheld. It protects the screen very, very well.
Yeah, the SJ33 is a grease magnet. Make sure you wash your hands often to get rid of that grime so you can hold your SJ33 firmly. The plastic casing scratches easily so you want to be extra careful...
If you prefer a thinner handheld and charge your handheld every single day then go for the T665c. Otherwise, if you travel a lot and prefer a stubby and fat handheld (which can be comfortable to hold by the way) then go for the SJ33.

Actually, I charge my t665 about every 4-5 days, I even listen to mp3's a bit, too bad the t665 gets such a bad rap on battery life~~ When I said it felt weird to hold, that was my opinion.

If I'm not mistaken, the scroll buttons on the SJ-33 are more accessible and useable. The scroll buttons on the T series are really a hassle.

I looked at both and the SJ33 seamed a bit to fat for me. I also liked the enhanced IR as i had 5 remotes in my lounge and with the t665 that is now 1.
Plus I got the a free case and 16mb MS with it on the run-out sale.
I had to look around a bit to find a T665 as according to the Sony Distibutor here the T665 has been discontinued.
Good luck in choosing

I have T625 identicle to T625 minus builtin headphones only 33htz. great but Flap comes of, gets looser. Previous models worse, and pen gradually starts falling out as you bend over. Sony seems to improve the case, and the pen with newer models. I've had it a Year, has been bashed to pieces, though you have to inspect it carefully to tell, The case is long gone, though its life was extended a few months with a little super-glue on a loose catch. I',ve been through two "Three-Packs of Pens. Do you know they come in different colours? Unfortunately, i finally dropped it one too many times, and it landed square on the only place where there is any plastic....on the pen holder, hence the high loss of pens. I bought it the first week it appeared in the Sony Store, and the only regrets is that I didn't wait a month or two for the T655 model, and that I didn't get a reasonable case as well. Good Luck.

I like my T665 a lot. If you dim the brightness, you will save considerable battery life. Also, I installed FastCPU and under clocked my process at about 45 to 50 MHz. This really saves battery life as well. I do have to turn it off (very easy to do, though) when I use my keyboard. My PDA is my portable computer. I have Documents to Go 5.0 and do all my journaling and letter writing on it. With MobiPocket, I check the sports and news out all the time. Also, I use the TimeCard program to track my consulting hours. I listen to a lot of music when I travel or am at my office (and need a break). I have heard that the SJ33 is suppose to have this incredible battery life. That I really like. I am still waiting for the perfect PDA (I have ask Sony about this because Samsung and Gamed are coming out with some pretty fantastic ones):
1. 320x480 resolution
2. 200 Mhz (or better) ARM processor
3. Palm OS 5.0
4. 32 to 48 Megabytes of RAM
5. Optional Blue-tooth (I personally don't want or need this)
6. Optional Camera (I personally don't want or need this)
7. NO (I repeat NO) integrated small keyboard. My fingers are too fat for those dumb things
8. A battery life like the SJ33!!!!
How is that for a PDA?
