I love my NX70V but wish the camera were better.
I have an opportunity to acquire an NX80V --
-- is there a noticeable improvement in picture quality with the camera on the 80?
(I am tempted by the NZ model but the reviews about the crummy battery life and long startup time for the camera function discourage me from going there).

From the camera perspective, you would be going from 0.3 mp to 1.3 mp. Thats pretty significant. You also get a light for the camera, front panel application buttons, more memory (if you use JackFlash) and a brighter screen. Also native compact flash support instead of needing a third party driver.

Only down side is the less sturdy retractable CF slot (gets it out of the way but they have been reported to be poorly constructed).

The NX80 camera's good enough to take decently printable snapshots. The video is pretty tiny, though. If you want decent video, the NZ is the only choice (though IMO, its other disadvantages still outweigh it).
