(Sorry for being longwinded here, but I've given all the relevant info I can think of.)
My Clie T615C got wiped out. Dead. Soft reset didn't work, and though I probably should have simply tried to recharge the battery, I panicked and did a hard reset, trusting in my BackupBuddy backups.
Problem now is I cannot Hot Sync. The Hot Sync Welcome screen on the Clie has the logo in the center, and "log" and "help" buttons at the bottom, but is otherwise blank - no local/modem choice above the logo, no connection options below. If I try to sync, I get Connecting with the desktop using {gibberish or blank} and then the Hotsync Problem screen saying "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application."
However, there is more to it:
In the Connection Setup, under Options there are NO available connections -- it says "Available Connections" but nothing is listed. It does appear that I can add them with the "New..." function, but I need to know what all the basic connections listed are, and what their characteristics are, in the "edit connection" screen. Can anyone help? (or if anyone is aware of a fix other than this manual re-creation process, let me know)
Thanks!!
