Greetings All...
Hmmmm for some reason this evening my UX-50 is requiring "accept cookies' for me to sign into Hotmail. Well I went into Netfront Pref..check to see if I had enabled ( I had) and proceeded. Still no luck. Anyone have a clue? I have been able to check email via hotmail for some time so this is a new development.
Thanks!

Delete the file in RAM called something like "NFcookies.pdb". You'll know it's the correct file when you see it. After deleting the file, try to login again. It should work.

It's actually easier to use menu...
Options->Delete Cookies and
Options->Delete Auth Info
to reset security preferences. You do not have to exit NetFront 3.1

wait wait wait...i have had this problem for months. all the posts tell me to change the user agent. when i do nothing changes. i can't get hotmail or my earthlink mail. the post which says just go to the menu and delete cookies and auth info doesn't really have my problem. i've tried that a couple of dozen times with no luck. yet, how in the heck do i delete a "RAM file?" I'm dying for this to work. having the unit, th55, and running netfront 3.1 has proven to be little more than a waste of time w/o functioning email. the only fix i came up with was to do a hard reset and lose all the data. you can then surf and check mail. yet, you have to find your hotsyc soon if you want any of the lost data. not a good fix if you on the road. PLEASE HELP ME!

My problem was that using the above method would not clear the cookies. I had to delete the file and let it be created again before it worked.

Same here using the Delete in the menu doesnt really work for me. Have to delete the file in ram.

This is easy and there are several ways if you havent yet discovered it. Assuming you have a Clie pda,
If you go into "Clie Files" program
Make sure in the top right corner "Handheld" is selected. This shows all the files on your PDA, Dont delete stuff unless you know what its for.
Scroll down to the file you wish to delete, and select it.
Then hit "Del"-Delete button on the bottem.
Its that easy!
You can also use FileZ (http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=E18586A7-CF18-A787-AADC6A9F4C0E22BD&PartnerREF=&prodID=9992) a free file manager to do the same basic thing.

Well, I bought the zlauncer for 12 bucks. But as VWBUG shows you can use clie files icon to find the nfcookies offending file. I used zlauncher and I'm able to sign in all over the place, email wise, w/o a problem. Before the unit was for sh_t when it really needed to get email or banking info. I couldn't even get into my NY Times. Now that I've deleted the offending file from RAM it works great. Most importantly, why do all these people tell you to simply change the user-agent? That is simply not a fix. Sad b/c it really had me running in a circle for months. I wish there was a better browser. Netfront, given it's bugs, can't be the best. Any other softwares out there? Again, RickMelton and VWBugg you did it right. Just search the forums for cookies and netfront and see all the wild, screwed up, solutions people expouse. I'm much happier with the unit now I can actually use it.

I just didnt want to confuse him with a third program but i use zlauncher primaraly.
Change ing the user agent does actually work for several things. There are a lot of sites that check the user agent to see if the browser is compataible and if not it wont work. However the user agent checker isnt verysmart. Netfront will run most sites, those sites just dont know it. Changeing the user agent just tricks those site into thinking your browser is compatable, something we already know.
