I find the pictures from thr NZ much nicer and clearer especially in odd lighting conditions because of the flash. The removable battery is a nice feature and integrated bluetooth means that people don't have to waste the MS slot on a bluetooth stick, so they can use bluetooth and a 128 MS at the same time. They don't seem the same by my logic, but perhaps my attention to detail is a fatal flaw in my character.

"mr. gillburg" is obviously not very well informed,

NZ -2 megapixel camera

all other PDA's -640x480 camera resolution at best.

He does have a point, though. The camera for NX and NZ has the same flaws: noisy images, bad white-balance. My Ricoh does take better pictures in 640 then the NZ in 1600!

Gillburg appears to be a Krad associate. No help available.

quality of the pictures are very good

yes a stand alone digicam will be better..but this is still the best camera out on any pda out there

here is an example of my favorite pic i took with nz90

Mr. Troll,
Please get a hold of yourself, pull yourself together. If they were the same I could:
*connect via bluetooth and still have my MS available.
* swap batteries on my NX
* Take pictues in low light
* etc...

Please take your "pissy" attitude to another forum or post something with substance.

Yea, I'm sure that this guy owned both  Prolly some guy who owns a PPC who wants an NZ but can't get over the fact that it is Palm OS.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you bought it and you don't like it, return it. If you can't return it, then learn to stop buying things on impulse. But most importantly, dont come on the clie boards and troll around trying to get a rise out of us.

I absolutely love this new clie.
I had the N710, NX70V and now the NZ90

- I have no problems with the battery,
- no major gripes about the camera (it could be a bit faster and I find that the placement for the camera shutter button is a bit awkward but these are minor things compared to the benefits)

for me the only real annoyance on this thing is the stylus placement. But once I started thinking where else they could have put it. The back of the clie seems like the only viable solution...

As some people already mentioned this is not an "everyone" clie its for a specific niche of people.

So Mr. gillburg if you don't like it, return it and stop wasting forum space with complains.

These forums should be used for passing around suggestions, improvements and solving problems.

(I think there is a "venting off" forum somewhere else... ;)

I've noticed several "anti-palm" posts in the Clie forum lately...all beginning to appear in the last week or so, since the NZ has come out.
I think these are probably PPC people who are upset that the NZ is sooo cool and there is nothing like it in the PPC world. So they come here to start bad-mouthing Sony and the NZ, etc..

The nz is the best data unit of it's kind.

In short mr. gilberg, take your cry baby attitude and you ppc and whine somewhere else.

eric... believe whatever you have to ... don't get me wrong, I think the NZ is quite impressing, it's only that my NX already is not quite what I consider a PDA anymore. The NZ is just too big, and takes too much battery (NX users just don't need an additional battery). Also while I only had PalmOS PDAs from the beginning, I can safely say that not all PPC users are major a*******.

You see, it doesn't need a PPC user to point out the NZ's weak spots. Oh and I considered Mr.gillburg's post the most serious post between ll those "cry, baby, cry" posts. (OK, that's not true, but many people in here wrote major BS, just to defend their NZ)

He should know that this is the outcome for posting such comment here.

In contrast, he will be supported and applaud if this post is flash on PPC site.

What is a PDA? I mean, really...

A PDA was originally a personal digital assistant - but they have become so much more...

Take the camera of an NX70 and take a snapshot of a standard sheet of paper...how legible is it? I don't know first-hand, so I'm asking...

The NZ90 has already saved me several hours of copying notes and documents, capturing whiteboards, etc...enough that it is justifying it's additional cost of 200$ over the NX70 (at release date...and I only paid 700$ tax free for mine...so was more of a bargain)...

Additionally - the bluetooth allows me functionality of hotsyncing at home, email, etc...without having to modify my network hotsync profile on my work PC so the 802.11 expansion gives me that flexibility in addition...

I actually **like** the location of the hotsync connector, as I can now keep the unit plugged in with a cable, and prop the device in a V shape for handy reference that is always on...with no battery degredation...

So - it works for me...I enjoy using it every day, and while it's a bit heavier than other PDAs...it meets my needs. Why knock it if it doesn't meet yours?

hey kkerruish

I use the NZ90 in a similar way:
- i use the camera mostly for documentation
( i have a 4mp SLR camera for actual photo work :)

- i use WiFi with Clie Mail's interval option to automatically check my email from both work and home...

So far I love it.
