CLIEMAIL sync won't work

I just got my new NZ90 and was SHOCKED at how seamlessly everything seemed to transfer to it from my nx70 when I moved the MS over and hotsynced it. Virtually everything is working perfectly EXCEPT CLIEMAIL.

I can't seem, no matter what I do, to get CLIEMAIL to show up as a conduit on the hotsync list. I've reinstalled Cliemail from the CD. I've installed the conduit from the CD. I've rebooted my computer and reset my NZ. What else can I try?

I haven't been able to get ClieMail to work either. I'd really like to sync my emails....

has anybody got any suggestions?
I tried reinstalling the cliemail conduit from the CD, repeatedly, and never will it show up on the CUSTOM list in Hot Sync.

I know it's clear that no one has solved this problem so what I'd like is some ideas as to what you would TRY if you were in my place.
I have done a hard reset. I have reinstalled the whole CD. I've tried using the CLIE MAIL CONDUIT from my old NX CD.

What would you do?

Any problems I had w Clie Mail sych have been corrected under Options, then Preferences and HotSync Options.

Not trying to insult. Just sharing my limited knowledge.

I have tried under options, preferences, and hotsync options to sync all. Also, there is no conduit under Hotsync custom for me to select either. I have not been able to get CLIE mail to sync as well, so I just deleted it. =(

when you deleted CLIE MAIL does that mean you just don't have EMAIL on your PALM or did you find an alternative?

i found an alternative in SnapperMail (www.snappermail.com). Right now, there is no conduit for synching with Outlook, but it is in the works (according to their tech people). I find it's the BEST representation of Outlook's capabilities for the Palm OS. I would seriously suggest giving it a look-see.

You need the ClieMailCond.DLL file in your Sony HandHeld directory. Apparently, the installation decides that if you already have another mail conduit, e.g. Intellisync, it will not load this conduit no matter how many times you run the installation. I did a clean install on another PC and then did a copy of the conduit over to my PC and it works. Try it!

I have the ClieMailCond.DLL file in the correct directory and can sync with Outlook (have removed Outlook due to various problems)- when I try to sync with Outlook Express I get

"Failed while trying to Logon to the Desktop Mail System. Please check your Palm Mail settings. CLIE Mail synchronization failed"

I have Outlook Express marked as my default email client and Outlook Express set to sync under Palm Desktop.

Any ideas- using an NX70V and trying to sync with ClieMail.
