I am interested in replacing my address book with a more robust application. I am a user of DateBook5 and enjoy the enhanced capabilities. I have looked at SuperNames and Contact4 but would like to get the opinions of the forum. What are the advantages of each? Does one work better with DateBook5.
Thanks for your help!

I like supernames. I find Contacts 4 is quite large and unecessary. Supernames has good features and a little quickview window so you don't even need to open the contact. Contacts 4 has a quickview window but it is much larger and will take up a large portion of the screen, especially if you don't have VG. Both can scroll contacts using the jog dial, although Supernames scrolling is a little slow.
Contacts 4 supports datebook 5 and agendus and some others. However it has a limited list of choices. Whereas supernames lets you pick the program, (shows all prorgams on your clie). Supernames also has link sections for memo and todo applications, again where you can pick from your list of all applications.
I prefer supernames, but Contacts 4 does look fancier. Just try both and see.

I have just bought supernames for my t625. I tested them both and found supernames the better product for me. I link it with DateBk5 and Shadow. Contacts 4 has a very large footprint and although the graphics are very good I prefer the way supernames is set out. If I were you I would try them both and see which suits your needs.
For me supernames is worth the extra $5.

I have used Agendus (formerly Action Names) ever since I got my Palm IIIc years ago. When I got my T665c, I tried Datebook 4 and found the interface inferior to Agendus, so I went back.
I agree Contacts 4 is way too large (almost twice the size of Agendus) and all it offers is a bunch of usless tags and icons and a fussy interface.
Agendus is easy to use and enhances the Datebook, ToDo list as well as the Address Book.
Iambic offers a 30 day free trial of Agendus. Give it a try, I think you'll like it.
