I went through the prior posts but nothing seemed to address this issue. I click on the no image in a contact, select a picture, and then nothing.

No picture

No message.

no nothing???

Any advice from the galley?

Thanks

I've contacted the Sony online 2 times. Got back 2 different suggestions. One said can't help call the phone support (for $14.00) and the other said that this was designed to only pull off pictures from the internal memory and not the memory stick.

However, I snaped a picture to save to internal and then I was able to add pictures from whereever. This worked for a day. Now I have some pictures but can only add from internal again. ?!?!?!?!

Does anyone know how to get JPG from memory stick to Internal???

I tried clie files, Filez but I get an incompatible fiel type error.

Suggestions??

I guess I'm not understanding the problem. Are you saying that your address book can't find any pictures to include or that pictures that you do add disappear after a few days?

One problem you might have is space. When you add an image from your memory stick, a ghost image is created in your internal memory. That ghost image is about 40% the size of the original image. So, if you don't have much internal space or are trying to add a lot or large images, you may be running out of internal space.

What I often do is transfer all the images I want to add to my PC and edit them. I crop them and then shrink them down to a relatively small size -- maybe about 150 pixels by 150 (the file size is 20-50k). Then, I move them back to my memory stick and add them to my address book. The ghost images end up being only 5-10k.

Has anyone found a resolution to this problem. In my TH-55 I can view the picture in the list view of CO address, but when I pick the contact the picture is not shown. Under plain Address program it shows an icon that a picture has been selected, but is is not viewable at all. This happens in my TH-55 and also in my NX-73. I can't seem to find any setting that controls this.

Do you happen to use Acid Image? If so, this is your problem. I, to, have a TH55 and Acid Image kills the photo after usage. If you do a hard reset and completely redo your TH55 without Acid Image, your photos will be fine. I guess someone should let Red Mercury know about this problem. I'm not sure if the NZ users are experiencing the same problem.

Now that you mentioned Acid Image, I did a little investigation with my NZ90 and found that if I use version 3.0 or later it screws up the picture in the address book.

If I use Acid Image 2.9 or earlier the address book pictures are fine.

Acid Image doesn't remove the thumbnail versions in RAM, it just has some unfortunate interaction with the Sony version of Address book that makes address book unable to show the thumbnail photo.
