View Full Version : Camino 0.7 released
The best browser for Mac has been released in a new version:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/camino/
Um, I like it - does everyone else use Explorer?? Netscape? Mozilla? Safari?
Whoa! I just installed Camino. And it's fast!
I already love the popup blocker and tab browsing. I guess we would have to wait and see what the next Safari beta would come out with.
Safari has been by default browser since it came out... now I'm having second thoughts. :)

Well, to tell you the truth, Safari would be my next best choice...
Does anyone know though a way to quickly move all my bookmarks from Camino to Safari when the much better version of Safari is released?

Yep, WAS a safari user. I'll remain one.
I abandoned Explorer, but still had to use Mozilla for certain sites.
CAMINO looks, handles GREAT!!!
I had a problem viewing brighand.com...
I'm noticing some "problems" now...
Safari (and Opera) renders the main news page of Cliesource in bold text while Camino (and IE) renders them properly.
Camino's having a hard time scrolling pages ... it might be the Wacom mouse I'm using but scrolling is ok in Safari.

Far and away the best feature of Camino, that I haven't seen in IE or Safari is the use of Keychain Access and TRULY remembering my password by storing it in KA along with my username. I can't believe that Safari, published by Apple doesn't include this.

Oh, and I like the implementation of tabs, especially grouped tabs, which with one click will open up all of my Mac news or rumors sites, for example.
It's neat! Say I have two lycos mail accounts - I go to the lycos page, it puts my FIRST user name and password in, then I read my e-mail there, logged out and when I attenmpt to log in again, it puts my SECOND user name and its password in... I love it!
Group tabs?? I didn't know it could do that!!

Camino is pretty fast... which I dig. But I miss the more advanced features of Mozilla. One basic example is the lack of history in the back button. Both Mozilla and Internet Exploiter have this, why doesn't Camino?
Also, there's no simple way to clean out the cache or history. BUT I do love the way it handles cookies.
