Is anyone using a PEGA WL100 in Manhattan successfully on the street or just in their office?

I'm in Manhattan too and would like to know how some people are using their nx70's to get on any hotspots around here. I work right near Bryant Park and plan on trying that out this afternoon, however I'm not entirely sure about the settings to get on our even find any hotspots around here. Is there any kind of program for the clie that sniffs out hotspots?

No apps yet for the Palm,  just use the clie itself.

Create a profile under Preferences, network, wireless.

Infrastructure mode

Auto IP and DNS: found under the advanced menu

PowerSaveMode: unchecked

No WEP

SSID: leave blank or type in "any" without the quotes

But to use any of the T-Mobile hotspots, the Boingo hotspots, etc. I would need to purchase accounts for each of those services? ACK! ;) Wow! That is pretty cost prohibitive.
