Yap, it is. The girly red TH55s are for the japanese only. The, manly, black, mean machine, TH55s are for the rest of us.

Ive noticed that the bevel around the screen of my TH55 is darker than other else I've seen. Is your silver or dark silver? In the stores are silver. I dont like mine being dark silver :(

Has anyone modified his/her TH55? Maybe somebody out there painted it or something. I'd like to see some pictures :P

My vote goes for the black too. Mine has dark gray-brown-ish bevel, it matches almost perfectly with the MDR-ED21LP sony hearphones(the ones with the thing that goes inside your ear).

Perhaps the ones with BT are darker...? :D
