The TG50 looks great, but why would Sony release a new Clie without the slot for the Wi-Fi card? Yes, I'm looking for both bluetooth and Wi-Fi! Am I asking for the world here??

it would be too big, do you really want the TG50 with a CF hump like the NX70v? It would defeat the whole purpose of making a the TG a small unit.

I hear there is the CF sled that you can get for the TG which attaches to the bottom of the TG, and then you can get the WiFi card and put it in there. It looks pretty bulky though...

Not everyone out there wants Wifi like you, so at least im glad sony didn't put a Wifi only CF type II slot on the TG50.

That would suck up a lot of battery juice...

Actually, I'd just want it for occasional use so the CF Sled would be perfect for me, depending on $$$.

Actually, the PEGA-CF60 and 61 sleds include an extra battery that can power the card and charge the Clie as well. I've thought about buying it just for the ability to provide additional power to the Clie.

...Guys you are missing the point here, I quite agree with mdrsteve - no built in Wi-Fi is not good in this day and age.

Sony=Super Sophisticated Technology...?

Why not build Wi-Fi capability into their new models, hence do away with the hump!

No that would be silly for Sony - who would then buy all those wonderful Sony Wi-Fi cards...;)

forget the CF slot or sled or whatever. How about built-in wifi?

we can't ask everything of Sony at once. the TG50 is 98% of the perfect PDA at this time. i would love to see a built-in WiFi capability for a T-series model, but since none of us are the technical experts on battery consumption, reciever/transmitter size, and many other aspects, we can't make that call.

the important thing to realise: the TG50 is not designed to be a NX/NZ replacement, it's supposed to replace the T665-- which has neither OS5, an ARM processor, or BlueTooth. Now we're getting all three, all in one shot.

Let's not be picky, folks.
