they need to go into mq_root/100mqv01 on the ms. If you have .mai files, they need to go in palm/programs/movieplayer/100mqv01
that should fix your issue.

click ms import on your clie
right click on the file on your PC and click "convert to clie"
it should take a while.
i dont think you can just copy and paste to the MS
there is a long explanation and I am kinda lazy today.

you can use mpegs without converting via your desktop - you have to move the files into MSSONY/MOML0001 - the filename has to be like MOV00001.MPG and the player will find them. but your movies have to bei in mpg1 - (VCD) if you use mpeg2 or mpeg4 the player can not open the files .... mfg kevs

For future reference, the manual for what tells you what files go into what folders are located in the Application Manual on the CD that came with the Clie. This is NOT intended to be a flame, only for knowledge. It drove me nuts not knowing what went where, until I had found it :)
BTW, Most of all, have fun!

That would be worth a sticky to me. Are these forums moderated?

Depends on what you mean by moderated. The posts appear instantly, so they maybe just monitored.
