Will it be possible to beam MS Office file such as Excel direct from notebook via IR direct to Clie without going to install on Doc To Go on the notebook itself ? I know you can do it with Nokia using Symbian or perhaps Pocket PC/Win Ce based device. Please advise. If can, is it possible to beam direct from Clie to the notebook as well.

Sorry AKima,
the Palm OS does not support native formats of videos, music or documents, only palm database or palm programs can be stored in ram, and anything being IRed has to go through ram. And Docs to go or pretty much any Office substitute for palm (Only native format editor is the new Quick Office Premier) cannot read or write to Native office documents.

i heard though, don't quote me, that in the next release of docs to go that native formats will be supported, which is a feat to me, the files will have to be on a memory stick though, IMHO, because I've tried transfering other files to the internal memory and unless it's .p* it's not allowed on so...

Don't feel bad about this constraint with Palm OS. All things considered, it's still the superior OS for handheld units.
Any file can be transferred directly to the handheld via the memory stick. It acts like a large diskette. I can read text files directly via McFile, and JPG, BMP, GIF, and other graphics files using AcidImage -- all stored in the Mstick.
stay cool.

i know that files can be stored in the memory stick but i haven't been able to store those files on the handheld it's self in internal memory.

In Internal memory, only PRC and PDB files can be stored. And I'm not only referring to filename extensions. Palm OS makes sure that these files follow a certain convention format so that it can detect corrupted or fake prc and pdb files.
There are apps that can "mask" a dos file so that you can store it in pda RAM (of course you cant run it). But for storage purposes, it will work. I'll try to recall the app.
stay cool.

for storage, it's not very practical IMHO because i have 2 128 sticks and the 16MB is just used for stuff i run often.
