I have just got a CLie T665 and I have to use Lotus Notes at work for email and my calendar etc,
What is the easiest to use and most reliable program to sync with lotus notes?
What I really need it for the calendar, to do's and address book, but email as well woould be great.
I need it to be easy to use as a number of others in the office have Palm OS devices (other sony clies, palm m130's or 515's) and not all of them are overly computer literate.
Also considering the hardware of some of the others - apps that may work fine on the Clie may be too big or slow on the M130.
any suggestions would be great.
I have a had a look at Intellisync, easysync, mNotes, and pylon and I will download demos of the ones i can but anyone elses experiences with any of the apps listed (or any others i have not looked at would be great)
Thanks in advance

I used easy sync without incident for months. The worst thing about it is that it is working with Notes, which isn't a flaw of easy sync but I hated the whole notes experience. I only synced my todo list and calendar, but I can say I had no problems with those...

I used EasySync 3.0a for a couple years without incident. I chose to selectively sync my e-mail (meaning, only a folder I specified, not the Inbox) and that saved space on my Palm Vx. To-do, Calendar all synced very well - I recommend it.
For OS5, the only solution seems to be the e-mail program in the Dataviz Platinum suite.

My wife uses Intellisync 4 with her N610C and Notes 5 - works just fine. She only sync's calendar and ToDo lists.

Ah, yeah, I guess the disclaimer there re: Intellisync is that it will work with all the OS5 apps except e-mail (DOH!). Pumatech has been "working on a solution" since NOvember of 2002.

I've used PylonPro and it has been bullet proof. It's expensive, but you can sync custom Notes db's with great filtering options. Pylon is a good choice if you only need to sync with the std palm apps. Setup can be a chore, but once done you don't need to think about. It just works.

I had been using Intellisync without incident, until a computer crash caused some problems. I didn't get far with tech support so started looking for an alternative. I tried Pylon and have to agree that it's really a nice package. Especially nice is that you don't have to switch to "Island" mode to synch, as is required with Intellisync. If I can get it to work again, I'll probably stick with Intellisync just so I don't have to spend the extra money. However, had I seen Pylon first, I would definitely be using it instead.

I tried Pylon way back when the Palm IIIC came out, and found it worked for mail syncs. I switched to Dataviz mail though, to get attachments to sync. Datavizmail works without any problems, but can take much time to sync, if you sync attachments. I'm also interested in a way to send/recieve Notes mail wireless using my WL100. I am aware of InBox To Go, but I'm waiting to try it after Dataviz comes out with the native attachment technology, just announced.
I just recently downloaded the latest PylonPro 30 day trial, and hope to see how it has improved. I would be interested if anyone has the WL100 on their NX, and can sync wireless to the Notes server, without the PC conduit. The documentation shows that it still is configured from the Notes program(edit location menu). Has this presented problems for those who have strict IT control over your computer?
Also, how does Pylon handle attachments and does it recognize the MS, and can it run from the MS. Lots of questions-hope there are lots of answers too.:)

FYI - there are a couple updates for Intellisync that are supposed to address the inability to sync w/ CLIE Mail. Unfortunately, the interim/current solution is to install a new mail app - that's the only way to sync w/ Notes right now. They say they are still working on a long-term fix... we'll see.

Where did you find the update? I have Intellisync and ClieMail on my NZ and I really really want to be able to have my e-mail...

custom mail client (http://www.pumatech.com/511mail.html)
Intellisync Email Patch (http://www.pumatech.com/511mail2.html)
Note that I have not used either of these, but this is the latest move to help NX users sync email.

I haven't used either with a Clie, but EasySync was a pain and messed up my Palm more than a couple of times. Intellisync was much better, but I didn't like their upgrade policy (i.e., "buy it all over again") and tech support was spotty.
