What is the good reason to get a Clie???

Clie's pretty much speak for themselves. They are still the top of the line of Palm based OS PDAs. If you or your dad knows anything about PDAs, than Clies either have the function and form factor you like and seek that no other Palm OS PDA has, or they don't, plain and simple. If a person can not come to understand that on their own than there is no difference in trying to explain to them why you would want / need a Tungsten T3 over a Zire 21.

Of course......
Now seeing how Clies are an obsolete product, you now must face the fact that in general there will be no more software written for any Clie from this time forth and any Clie PDA you now get must make due with previous and existing software.

The best reason to get a clie is that you can't get it anymore, so if you could put your hand on one. Get it and dont let it go.

And may be, because it's really helpful to get your life organized.

In my clie i have:

- Word documents, with my homework
- Excel documents, with homeworks
- PowerPoint presentations, with notes, so when i'm making the presentation, i read notes on my clie (and look cool)
- My scientific calculator
- A lot of games
- Camera
- mp3
- lot of sh*t

So, you know that you need it

winexprt - No, see, you never want to give an opening to "what's wrong with paper and pencil? that's what I used!" Your arguement dies.

I would amend your suggestion to telling pops he wouldn't be able to DO ANY extracuricular work WITHOUT a Clie. It's a requirement. He should use YOUR Clie to forge a school document saying this is in fact a new, cutting-edge requirement, hacking into the school system using YOUR Clie to get the right form and alter any mass-mailings for parents.

See, this way he'll also get all the acclaim from his classmates, some of whom he'll be able to beat up and get THEIR Clies, too!
