I am seriously considering the purchase of a COVERTEC case for my TH55. Any users out there who are willing to share their experience with this casing with me? Are there any downsides I should know about with this case before taking the plunge?

um.. I don't know about you.. for me.. i don't like a holding a palm with a case on.. i also think it's harder to use to jog dial when the case on...
I have ordered a Krusell Pouch.. I just need a simple case to protect my Clie when i am not using it.. that Krusell Pouch is good enough for me..

hi
I bought a covertec case a couple of months ago and find it great,I got the brown leather model and I can not fault it,its quite slim and slides in my trouser pocket easily I did remove the photo holder and I took the flip lid off my clie but all in all its a great case, and looks cool to boot
hope this helps

I've used the Covertec case for about a month now. The TH55 fits well but seems to be loosening recently. The belt clip seems sturdy and is easy to release. If you use the jog dial a lot this case will annoy you. The case flips down in the back to reveal the camera but gets in the way of jog usage.
I like it a lot but be aware of the drawbacks before you get it.

Still very statisfied with my covertec case :) fits nicely, and keeps the complete package (case and TH) small. A very big advantage in my opinion!

Tristan40,
Why do you find the jog dial hard to use? Does the case not fold down flat enough to reach it?
I currently have a Sena case for my TH55 and I have to say that I'm not entirely happy with it either for jog dial use. It is a bit of a pain to have to insert ones finger up through the hole when the back cover is flipped over; it's hard to spin the dial quickly when scrolling through long pages.
Hmm...I think that I'm starting to miss that side-mounted jog dial on my TG50. :(

Thanks for the input everyone :) I am a bit worried about using the jog-dial as well. Looks like only the flip down cases have a clear advantage but having a flap dangling with the case open isn't exactly a good lookins solution either

I seriously considered the Covertec or Krusell as they appear to be very similar. However, it looks like both have memory stick slot blockage. That's a no no for me since all I have are one 32MB and one 64MB memory sticks and I switch quite often. So I went with the JavoEdge Case. It's a cross between the Brando book type case and the PDAir book type case. Loving it so far. I'm about to give the new Bellagio cradle ready version a try. I'll have to remove the flip cover though. :(
