Does anyone know if there's a palm version of the old Oregon Trail game? I used to play the hell out of that game, and I haven't seen it for Palm yet, but I'd like to.

It was my favorite on my old Apple ][ e. I wish someone would port it to PalmOS.

I work for the company that makes that game! -or I should say made that game.

Learning company made that game (they may have bought the rights to it in the early 90's or late 80's)..I don't think they were the originaters of the game. The Learning Co. was bought out by Riverdeep (who I work for). We stopped making the game so I doubt we will come out w/ a palm version. However, maybe someone out there made their own version,etc..?

Massman, i'll see what I can find out about it's current status,...plans on bringing it back to life,etc. -a palm os version...? my feeling is the company is focusing on other projects, programs that are making them $$ at present. I think the poor economy has prevented many companies such as ours from taking too many risks, thus not bringing something back that was bringing in low sales.

I don't see the bad for your company. They would get payed for nothing. Let's say they would receive 15-25% of the sales for the game.

I am still trying to find out from someone here who knows about "Oregon Trail", or maybe worked on it.. I'll see what I find out before I try to second guess what they may say!
