does anyone use their BT MS and BT t68i in tmobile? I am asking this because i understand it costs $9.99/mth. to use their data service for pdas/laptops and you get 2MB. I was just wondering how far you can go with 2MBs?

That is about the size of a decent sized webpage....
That plan is made for WAP not for browsing....

Well, yeah I'll have to aggree......I have a NR with a BT MS and a T68i from T-Mo and I just recently signed up for the 2mb plan @ $9.99.
I've only had it for about 2 weeks and just in setting it up and what not, I just called and found out that I've used 1 mg already....
I'd say that i's cool to have if you need it, say traveling or anytime that you are away fromt the computer and just need to check e-mail or look something up really quick and desperately.
But to be paying an extra $10 bucks a month, on top of what you pay for your mobile for a "novelty" 2mb is stretching it for me.
I'll probably cancel it after the next month or so. Maybe slap it back on if I'm going to need it....
I'd signed up for it for the coolness factor of it, plus was going to school in a new building that wasn't wired for internet yet and was in serious need of a connectivity fix. Ironically, 2 days after I got the darn thing working, we got connected @ school.....*sigh*
To live in those enlightened places where carriers offer free grps.....*longing*

I would agree that 2mb is not a lot of data for browsing. I am contemplating getting 10mb of data from T-Mobile for $19.99/mo. 2mb is sufficient for checking email and occasionally browsing for news, quotes, weather, etc. With 10mb I would be able to check email frequently and browse on a moderate basis and be under the limit.
I would imagine that once wirelesss browsing becomes more mainstream these services will go down in price. Think how far cell phone voice plans have come down in relative price. Plans now include generous minutes, nationwide roaming, and nationwide long distance. The first plans offered in the beginning certainly did not offer these features.
