I have been following an interesting thread on Brighthand and thought I would share the link. A couple posters have successfully installed a 1200mAh 3.7 battery in their t3's. Take a look: http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/showthread.php?threadid=63927&perpage=10&pagenumber=1

I have completed the upgrade myself and am very happy with the results. I guess this means I am truly a geek now! :D

It took you that little of a time frame to get the necessary components, steel your nerve, crack the T3 case and perform the upgrade? Did you take photo's? Talk about your experience man! Sheesh. :D

I know the thread at Brighthand is long but there is a lot of good info there. I cut my post from there:
Well,
I could not resist and went out on a ledge. I cannibalized my working t3 battery to get the circuit board and cable. The soldering was not the hard part, the putting it back in the case and having the screen work correctly was. After an hour and a half of squishing and re-squishing and assembling and disassembing, I still had a digitizer issue. Everything down by the battery registered low. I decided to call it a night and put it all together and try some tweaking tomorrow. On a whim, after re-assembling, I restored from my backup and lo and behold everything was fine. Don't know what was causing the digitizer problem but it works now.
Pretty bold, but I like to tinker. For those fellow geeks out there, give it a try! **Disclaimer - This will void your manufacturers warranty and I have no liability for your success or failure, your T3 could become a $400+ paperweight -End Disclaimer**

Maybe I can give it a try. I have already broken the seal on my T3.

Mods, you need to post this to General or News. What a great story about the efforts of the user community to get consumers what they want.
P.S. I found the Brighthand thread on my own yesterday. I was about to post something to 1src General but did a search and then found this thread at 1src.
Please gives this story some 1src 'Front Page' time. Their efforts alone merits the move or cross post!
