Anybody of u know any movies, in which handhelds are shown?
In the new Solaris remake with George Clooney, there is a short scene just before he goes to sleep the first time where he checks his Clie NR Model for something. I almost fell from my chair when i saw it the first time :)
I´ve heard from the movie The Saint, with Val Kilmer that he uses a Nokia Communicator 9000, i suppose. However, still havent watched this movie.
And in a music clip with this rapper typ Nelly i think he calls himself (yo, check this out ;) ), one girl uses a Nokia 9210 Communicator and lets it drop!!! Only because she seems to be sad about an email she received (which was written in an Excel-like prog - lol).... I almost got a heart attack when i watched, how she treated her dong,... oh, sorry, i mean her 10 inch toy..... What are u looking at me?.. i just meant the Communicator of course.

Allright, so anyone knows some more movies, or music clips with handhelds in it?

The main character in Sum of All Fears uses one in a before he goes to a nuke making site...shows pics on it to the other guy....I wasn't able to tell what kind it was, exactly . . . but the other guy said he wanted one....;)

One that got a bit of attention a few years back was the James Bond flick with Denise Richards in which she used an HP Jornada with some pretty snazzy software to deactivate a nuclear warhead while shooting through a tube. Make what you will of the innuendo's. I think it was the World is not Enough.

Just the other day I saw an NR on a soap they had on the monitors while I was at the gym. Don't know which soap it was as I am not a fan, but the NR was disntinctive enough.

God, I feel like I've been seeing them all over the place, but I can't think of any examples.

I know 24 (The TV Series) has them pop up every now and then, one was in this last episode.

The Targus keyboard was in both Spy Kids II and The Tuxedo, both times without a PDA though, pretty funny.

And then there's the new Cisco Systems commercial where two people meet "face to face" for the first time on their Wireless, Camera using Cliés. I always get a kick out of that one.

They're getting some pretty good face time lately.

In sum of all fears Ben Affleck uses a ipaq to e-mail someone when he is trying to stop the U.S. and russia from nuking each other. I have seen a tire comercial where it looks like this lady using an NR but I cant tell for sure.

On the episode of Alias after this year's Super Bowl, Sydney used an Ipaq to link the computer she broke into with the computers at her headquarters. The CIA are Pocket PC people, I guess.

You know what made me laugh sooo hard when I watch that movie? Remember why he had to use the e-mail? (And I think it was actually a Casio, it had a black case) He had to use e-mail because the nuke had taken out all of the cell phone towers. Where the writers thinking about the fact that the Casio had to have some sort of data connection? Where do I sign up for this satelite wireless internet? :D

If television counts, I've seen SJ30 on a show called Mutant-X (an X-Men rip-off). The actor used the SJ30 to disable an alarm system on a beach house using the IR port - from 20 feet away. See, use like that gives us PDA users a bad name!

I just saw a Quest Dex commercial with either a Palm III or NZ90, I could only tell it was black and in "laptop" mode like the NZ
