I'm kind of desperate here. And did something stupid with Jack Sprat that messed up my T3 rom file. As I panicked over the loss, I dropped the unit and the card is now garbled as well. Was acting finicky previously. (not always detected unless I unseated card and reinserted). Nothing there that I can recover from Backup Man. Based on searches of forums, I've contacted Brayder as registered user of Jack Flash and Sprat, but they haven't responded yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I MUST have for work references (Inpt Pharmacy). If I must reinstall databases this will take some time, and I can't wait several days for support to answer. Do I really need to buy another unit? (Please no lectures. Believe me I got it. I was in a hurry and not paying attention and messed up.)

Any suggestions welcome. indydave564@hotmail.com

IndyDave,

Good news, if you prev backed up the rom file w/JS. It would've created a file called FlashWrite.prc. This needs to be in RAM, yes, that is an A for RAM.

Then follow the directions for restoring the ROM & you should be back in business.

If you are having problems w/the card, see if you can hook up a card reader to your machine. I got a multi format card reader fm J&R Computer World for about $10. & you can then try to copy the files to your PC via the reader & then try formatting the card (if you have good backups on the PC) & then try to restore the ROM image.

Brayder tech supp't told me it has to be the FlashWrite.prc fm your unit, but the ROM can come from anyone's unit (if not manipulated via stuff like JS). Saved my assets w/this method.

Be careful, read the docs first.

Let everyone know how it goes.
