Right stand back and give me some room please.

Okay don’t bite my head off, and I am sorry if I am going over old topics.

I have received a list of wifi sites in my area (City of London) and went off to try my Clie NX70V on it, (no I did not buy some chalk!)

For those interested (also includes UK) the site is:
http://www.zdnet.co.uk/news/specials/wifi-hotspots/map-city.html

Right I have used my NX70V/U and its PEGA WL100 card (US version) in the States and have linked up many a time, but never used the NetForce or linked up in the UK (other than with my BlueTooth).

Stood in the StarBucks with the HotSpot wifi and found nothing.
Stood in the Convi Coffee with the BT OpenZone and found nothing!

I know they were operational but got nothing. Now my question is this:

1. Is there something I should be doing to read UK wifi on my US system?

2. Is there a way to see wifi in area other than constantly stuck in ‘Retry’

3. Am I the only person trying out the City of London test of the wifi?

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

PS. Hope you all liked the link to the BlueTooth Camera Remote Control update.

I know here at Starbucks you need to pay to hook up. I have had no trouble at other coffee shops in California. What settings are you using. I can get connected but can not so far get on to my ISP. I was planning on trying the London sites when next there so keep me posted.

Have you recently successfully connected your NX70 at home or anywhere else?
