Hi,

Hope someone can advise...

Have used several Palms then Clies and now just bought a T3....

T3 works great so far, just having problems with Palm Desktop!

Tried installing Palm Desktop 4.2.1 (latest version downloaded) on my G4 PowerMac running OSX 10.2.8 and having problems opening up my User file without crashing Palm Desktop.

I have been able to use HotSync OK it seems, at least it doesn't crash.

After cleaning out Palm files and reinstalling fresh, I still get crash if I try to select my UserName file in the pop-down button at the right end of the Palm Desktop toolbar or if I try to use the 'Merge' command.

Weird thing is I can open the tutorial file UserData file without crashing though...

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Mark

Well, did another uninstall w/PalmDesktop Installer app. Then used the Find app to locate and trash Palm files, except for my Palm user folder which I dragged out onto my desktop. Then reinstalled Palm Desktop.

This time I used the Palm Desktop Setup Assistant app and created I new user that matched the name on my T3. Unfortunately, then I get the message 'opening userdata. One moment please...'. Then I see the infamous colored spinning beach ball. After waiting a few minutes, I did Cmd-Option-Escape and in the window I see that Palm Desktop is in red letters which means it's crashed.....

Any suggestions??

Driving me NUTS!!!

Thanks for ANY help....

Mark
