Has anyone else had trouble with Palmgear not answering customer/tech support email?
Three weeks ago I found I couldn't log into my account, so I checked their FAQ's and found that my problem is not unique. The FAQ says they had a system upgrade and if you can't login to delete your cookies (which I did) and try again. If that doesn't work (it didn't), contact tech support. I contacted tech support on July 2nd and July 8th, still no reply. I tried to log in since then in case they fixed my account, but still can't get in.
As I explained in the email to tech no-support, I needed to get into the account because I couldn't find a reg. code to software I had purchased through Palmgear.
To be sure I didn't forget the password, I clicked on "send password to email" from Palmgear's site, and I got the message that my email doesn't exist in their system. So I try my other email, still no luck. I check the spelling and try it with caps on (I never use caps for log ins or passwords, but trying all I can). I suspect my account has been blown away by their system upgrade and tech support can't find the account so they aren't bothering to acknowledge my email.
This isn't the first time I've had Palmgear support ignore me. Last winter I had to contact Discover Card to reverse a charge because Palmgear had charged me twice for an order. Their system had sent me two reg codes and I immediately contacted customer support who told me they only showed one charge in their system so not to be concerned. Of course, they never addressed why then I had two reg codes.
Handango's customer support has been great. First of all, I've only had to contact them once, then I received a reply within a few hours and they immediately (and cheerfully) fixed an error regarding the number of points in my account.
Obviously, I am extremely frustrated with Palmgear and I have to wonder if it's just me??? Handango is getting all the business I can give them from now on.
