SilkSkin & StatusSkin

HI,

I just got my NX60 with Palm OS 5.0 I don't know how to skin the status bar & the silk screen. Does anybody know how to do this. Please help.

I've looked thru the thread but all I found were SilkManager support OS 4.1 not OS 5. Installed but it did not work for my NX60

Use wondersilk, its a great program. Doesn't do the status bar but you can get great VG skins for it.

Photoskin will do both.  Have you tried it?  It also allows most NR VG skins to work on the NX.

I don't know about running off the memory card. But what I do is keep all my skins in some directory on the MS and simply copy the one I want to use to the handheld. Unless you switch skins a lot you shouldn't find it tedious.

Yea but Wondersilk is free and allows for mapping buttons and placing buttons elsewhere. For example you can make tappad functionality with wondersilk.
I also have the 4 hard buttons mapped with wondersilk, so I don't always have to open the clamshell to access them. My current skin also has the arrows keys and MP3 functions on it.

I didn't like the tappad functionality with wondersilk, it's too slow and the screen flicks. Alistar, is it the same on yours??

No, I said Photoskin. I just took a look again at the threads and there are threads discussing Photoskin as well as others. I figured the best way to get up to steam in the world of skins is to read the users comments.

The only skin I use, is Copper DeckII on ZLauncher, and I use the freeware app Colorize to give an overall motif.

I played around with skins on my NR70 and only slightly with the NX70.

You can add skins manually, but unless your proficient in doing a warm reset to uninstall them, I don't recommend it. Photoskin should do what you want it to do.

Skins are just files added to RAM. Photoskin allows you to manage them without as much of a hassle.

I hope this clears things up a tad.

Again I have posted the search results for Photoskin. There is 80 threads of messages with skins of all flavors. I found a few on Photoskin, plus others.
