My UX50 devoloped a problem yesterday. Every time I try to connect to anything using WiFi, the unit locks up while initializing. The connection progress box comes up "initializing", the WiFi green light goes on for one second, off for three, on for one, off for three. If I hit the "cancel" button, the connection progress box switches to "cancelling" and the WiFi light keeps blinking, on for one sec. off for three. The only way to stop it is doing a reset. It would go untill the battery dies.

I've done both soft and hard resets and it hasn't helped.

I use WiFi to hot sync, email and surf the net. I gotta have it.

Has anyone ever had this problem before or can anyone offer any suggestions for a fix to this problem?

Oh, thanks for the reply. bummer I have to send off the unit. I started charging my old T615 last night. I'm like a junkie, I use my Clie all the time for everything. I'm going to be going through withdrawls while it is gone... I'm shipping it off this afternoon.
Thank you again

I got my UX50 back today. It was a pretty quick turn around time.
Whew.
But it was nice playing all my old shoot em up games on my 615 dont work on the UX50.
but I'm glad my UX is back

this seems to be quite a common issue. mine just died. it's second hand unfortunately. any idea how much is the repair?

Just be glad you have a UX50, but I'm thinking about getting a Wifi Memory Stick which can pick up access points from further away :p and is only compatible with UX40 in UX series. :D
