I've just acquired a CLIE NZ-90 and am trying to configure internet access via my T608.

I've paired the NZ90 and the T608. I've created a "Connection" under Preferences named T608 (Modem; Bluetooth; [phone's BT name]; TouchTone; Low) (Details: 115,200 bps; Automatic) and I've tried both ATZ and an empty init string; both seem to work the same.

I've created a "Network" named PCS Vision with T608 as the designated "Connection" and Phone: #777. I've left all the "Details" at default: PPP; 1 Minute; and auto IP address and DNS.

The Clie connects to the phone, which (apparently) successfully connects to Vision (it gives the same messages and icons as when my Sharp Zaurus connects successfully.) The Clie hangs up, however, at "Signing On" with the handshake icon displayed, then, after a minute, gives a timeout error.

I've read posts from others who have Palms (even this particular Clie) connecting to the internet via T608's, and I've duplicated their settings, but without success. It seems either the Clie fails to recognize that the T608 has in fact connected successfully, or that the T608 is really failing to answer some request (DHCP assignment?) of the Clie's, but I don't know how to further troubleshoot this...

- Please fills Init String, at connection under prefs, use Ip address with your data plan ISP
- At Network under prefs, details, choose :PPP, Idle time out : Never, Query DNS : Check or you can fill DNS you want to, IP address : Automatic...

Hope this can solve your problem [Error :PPP time out]
