US Patch for European TJ 37 ???

Hello to everyone!

Sorry for asking this question again, forgive me. But I would like to know whether anyone of you installed the wifi and / or other patches from the american clie support site for their EUROPEAN (E1 / E2) tj 37.

I posted in the wireless forum the last days because of a problem with my access point, the clie and "short" preamble mode. Now one member suggested me to update the clie with these patches. I would really like to do this, but am afraid of "destroying" my sweety...

So could anyone please share their informations regarding those patches and non-us models with me! Especially if there are any problems (i can´t imagine, but who knows) after the patches with wifi in europe.

I don't think it would be a good idea, because the OS's that come in the TJ37/U are slightly different that come with the ones in the E1/E2 models. Then again, I don't think it would cause any harm, just make a MS Backup before installing. Though if it came to harm, all you have to do is Hard Reset your "sweety" and restore the files from your backup. The patch file is saved to the RAM so it can be deleted, but don't delete it through file managers, or the Delete program, it will mess your "sweety" up, only a Restore or a Hard Reset can delete the file safely.

thanks for your help. are you sure that the patches are only installed in ram? with this info in mind i would risk it, why not. my fear was the patch beeing installed in rom and not deletable.
