Side lit reflective vs. Back lit trans-reflective screens. TG50 wins.
SD vs. Memory Stick Pro. TT wins on value and availablity, TG50 on transfer speeds.
OMAP 144Mhz vs. XScale 200Mhz - TG50 wins on power (especailly rastering graphics), TT wins in battery (probably not by much)
Sliding graffiti cover design vs. flip cover design - TG50 wins on practicality (protects the actual screen, not just the graffiti area! :D ), TT wins on compactness.
5 way d-pad vs. finger tip torture device - TT wins by a landslide.
Hold button vs. ??? - TG50 wins by default

You forgot about the audio: TG50 wins over the T|T. Don't even think about the T|T if you're planning to carry/use music in your PDA.

They are similar devices. The TG has the keyboard, which many first time users and wireless people (who want to send emails etc) will be what attracts them. The clie prolly also has better quality overall (read:no dust under the screen, no moving parts that can break). The real diff is the keyboard vs graffiti-which would you prefer? Remember, the TG has a VG area that can be called up, and you will prolly be able to use Graffiti Anywhere.

-Faster processor
-Better screen
-Built-in mp3 playback
-Built-in MPEG movie player
-Macromedia Flash
-Jog Dial
-ability to read HTML, PDF, MS Office, JPG, and GIF email attachments natively
These are the main TG50 advantages.

Sony's desktop Image Converter program creates far superior video to Kinoma. So if you are looking at playing video files on them, I would go with the TG50.

I wonder how much smaller is the TG50 screen than the TT...

Jeffry, the TT screen is small in comparison already, and the TG50 screen is minutely smaller than the 665. My guess is the TG50 screen is actually larger than the TT. Of course, the difference is going to be in the millimeters, so you won't be able to tell-- the real difference in screen is reflective (TT) versus transflective (TG50) and i can garuntee the TG50 screen will kick the poopie out of the TT. The Clie line has and most likely always will dominate in the screen/resolution/multimedia arena.

what about differences in audio output?
I know the speaker on my NR (and the NX from what I've heard) really is quite useless if you want to listen to mp3s or movies through it, as the volume is very very low.
I know my roommate has an excellent speaker on his TT, he can play kinoma movies and mp3s loud enough without the headphones. A very important feature in my opinion, as I really don't feel like untangling my headphones everytime I want to watch a kinoma movie or listen to an mp3, it'll be nice to be jammin to the beats without the headphones, a big priority for me as to why I didn't go with the NX.
This TG is quite tempting... I personally think it looks much sexier than the TT

Yea, sony won't let Palm or any other company beat them at innovation and technology-I wonder what their next best thing will be? And I also wonder what sales of the clamshell devices are compared to other standard tablet pdas. Anyone have sales figures?

have you SEEN the speaker output on the back of the device? if my eyes aren't fooling me, it has to be the size of a quarter or silver dollar-- compared to the T|T, how big is that? i haven't seen the speaker on the T|T, but I bet it's not as powerful as the TG50... Afterall, this IS Sony, they would never let Palm beat them at multimedia!
