When I try to start MS Import my computer says "Sony PEG Mass device found" Then the wizard comes up asking to find the driver. I have tried unistalling MS Export and reinstalling but still no driver found. I tried a hard reset. Still nothing. Sony couldn't help yet either. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've had this happen before. Try this. Have it search with the cd in teh drive. If that fails, then reset your computer, and then try again. DO NOT UNISTALL/REINSTALL BEFORE YOU RESET. Try this and see if that works. It did for me.

Just tried it and it didn't work. Thanks though
Hy,
It sometimes works just to change the USB-Port. Don't ask why!
And as my predecessor said. search the CD in X:\Drivers\SCSI where X is your CD-Drive. Now it must work.
If not email me I will fix this..

Hmm, this can be tough to pin down, especially with Win 2K.

Sony Level 2 reps can't figure it out either. I'm ready to return it. If I could only find the file where the driver is located for MS Import then I could get it going. It doesn't seem to be found under C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\USB_Driver
Can anyone suggest another place for the hardware wizard to look?

As I said some have had a tough time with Windows 2000. I once had a problem with Iomega's ZIP250 USB Active Sync. Once I deleted Active Sync, my Clie and Camera worked again on Windows XP, BTW so did my ZIP drive.
Other problems found in the past with other users:
Overclocking(not possible on the NX yet)
Defective Clie, possibly damaged by static discharge.
The USB cradle.
Software problem in the Clie.
Corrupted Windows driver.
I presume you have already looked at the Windows Patch on Sony's support site.

My only other suggestion is to make a backup copy of your Sony Handheld folder and then proceed to uninstall and remove all things Sony, including the destop. I don't how you would find or know if all instances of the Sony USB drivers were removed.
Another thing, if possible, double-check your Clie on another PC to make sure it's okay. I have seen stranger things happen, so don't rule anything out, without first verifying it.
