I downloaded Zlauncher and have been playing with it. Here's my questions:

1) can I set exactly which apps to launch through quick launch? I know how to select how many, but not which ones.

2) how can I hide/minimize/ or arrange my tabs so only the most frequently used 4 are across the top? I tried dragging, but I can't seem to get them in the order I want.

Thanks, Diane

I can help with Q #1, JUST drag the ICON of the APP you want in the quicklaunch menu and YOU ARE DOWN.

BUT if I understand correctly, BE CAREFUL, place them in the REVERSE order you want them to appear.

THE 1st program will be at the end of the list.

AND there is no re-arranging once this is done, nor ADDING nor removing OTHER than completely deleting the list of programs.

Unless this is more flexible in the latest update.

I LUV this launcher.

Actually, if you drag a app that's NOT in the QuickLaunch list to the QuickLaunch icon, it'll push the last app on the list out. I've been doing this to rearrange my list.

As for 2), you can check the "Hide Tab" box in the Tab Property to hide the tabs you don't want showing.

Another answer to #2 is to uncheck Cycle Tabs in ZL Preferences. Then just put the four you use the most and the screen, preferably towards the middle of the tab bar so they don't move off the screen when selecting a tab on the far right.

It seems that most of you like to have the tabs showing but I like to use it in compact mode which just shows the present category. I then just tap on it for a pull down menu of the others. This gives me more space for my backgrounds which I like. Just another option.

I use Compact mode almost exclusively. Between ZLauncher's Favorites and McPhling's most-recent cache, all of my commonly used apps are accounted ready for duty. Don't need no stinkin' tabs. :)

Does allow you to rearrange the programs in the quicklaunch list.
